Yellow Pages
Yellow Pages is a search interface on the US business listings and Yellow Pages. The app is quite powerful, with a comprehensive search function that searches across all the listings and a voice recognition feature that is cool but hardly as useful as one might imagine it to be at first. The voice recognition is most useful while driving, obviously, but most users would pull up the Yellow Pages app well before setting off. A much more useful feature is a radar-view overlayed on the camera viewfinder – almost an augmented-reality interface.
Business listings include the address, ratings, and description of the business as well as the phone number and option to map out the location from your current location. You can also pull up the website and see payment methods accepted at the establishment. The app works very well in all major cities, and the addresses and telephone numbers are accurate and up-to-date. This HTC Incredible app is well-designed and presents quite a significant amount of data in an elegant and accessible manner. An excellent and underrated app on the Android Market.
